Roundtable: Exploring the KEYS of Agile Testing

Let’s face it. Testing in agile teams is different. Instead of testers driving all of the work or decisions, it becomes a team activity. But this opens another set of challenges. How to fit into, influence, and operate within an agile team context?

This roundtable is focused towards exploring all aspects of quality and testing within agile teams. In some cases, it’s business as usual – using traditional practices. In other cases, the old techniques simply don’t work and we need to be open to new ways of testing. The hard part is deciding when to hold them and when to fold them.

In this collaborative discussion, you’ll get the chance to learn from two experienced agile testers and coaches – Shaun Bradshaw and Bob Galen. Each of them brings a unique perspective. Shaun is the consummate agile tester. Bob is a developer and agile coach. Between the two of them, you’ll gain new insights into what it takes to bring quality and testing to your agile teams.

Session Takeaways:

  • Group discussion on how to modify testing artifacts (test cases, test plans, etc.) in agile contexts.
  • Explore the best ways to handle bugs both in and outside of the sprints.
  • Group discussion on how to write/craft effective user stories.
  • Discuss test automation strategies, tools, and techniques in today’s agile DevOps environments.
  • And finally, exploring the essence of the Mindset of the Agile tester.
